At Pine Grove Animal Clinic, our veterinarians offer routine wellness and preventive care services for your bird or other small exotic pet. Our vets also treat exotic pets for medical or behavioral issues.

• Wellness & Preventive Care

  Just like cats and dogs, regular preventive veterinary care can help birds and other exotic pets live long, happy and healthy lives. Our veterinarians are trained to provide care and look after husbandry needs and veterinary treatment of these species. 

  During your pet's initial wellness visit, we will review your pet's housing, nutrition and care needs in detail. The vet will perform a complete and thorough physical exam. We can also discuss and recommend health screening tests and vaccines, along with health or behavior concerns and any husbandry issues before answering any questions you may have. Recommendations will be tailored to the needs of your pet and their family.

• Sick Pet Appointments & Daytime Emergencies

  Some of our veterinarians offer limited care for pocket pets, owned birds and select reptile species. Our doctors are able to see exotic breeds for preventative physical exams as well as minor illnesses or injuries. Please call our office to discuss your pet’s needs and scheduling availability. There may be some instances where your pet may benefit from seeing an avian or exotic specialist. Please note that exotic patients are scheduled for longer time blocks, warranting an increased examination fee.

• After Hours Emergencies

  Our clinic is equipped to handle medical needs for select illnesses or injuries for exotic patients. Please note that we do not currently have an avian or exotic specialist on our staff. In cases where your pet requires specialty care, we can provide records and recommendations for further assistance.
